Universal Design
An often overlooked element in architecture is universal design, also known as "barrier-free" or "accessible" design. Archaeon has designed multiple projects for people with disabilities including the addition of elevators, ramps, wider hallways, special systems and equipment. But, universal design is more generally about making a space accessible to all who enter it - disabled or not. Archaeon is experienced at incorporating these special needs into beautiful living and working environments. |

Spiral staircases and high countertops may work for some, but those design elements may not provide accessibility to everyone.
